Could one day, someday be today? The day you launch your art career?

We used to download images from the internet. Now people are paying millions in crypto to feel like they own them. What are NFT’s all about anyways?

I went to the illustrious Elam School of Fine Art at the University of Auckland when I was younger — I wanted to be an artist — well, a professional photographer (black & white, hand developed, dark-room, kicking it old school style). The only issue is I’m actually terrible with most mediums. I am incredibly creative, but getting that vision out was and still is laughable. Instead, I write, I chef & plate food, I dance, take photos, and lately, I’ve been super curious and exploring digital art.

One of the reasons I didn’t take my Bachelor of Fine Art further was I couldn’t see a way to monetise in the short term, and coming from humble beginnings, at the ripe age of 19 and already working three jobs to exist, I figured there must be an easier way. So I left my BFA and pursued a career with the promise to get back into art ‘someday’. Of course, someday is still coming.

While exploring how to get started and my passion for techy stuff, I came across this article. Apparently, the bitcoin elite are spending millions on collectable memes. Wow, they had my attention at the mere mention of millions.

It’s a must-read for anyone curious about blockchain and digital art, and ahem, making-money.
