Do you have a vision for your business? Or life?
Change doesn’t happen all at once.
You don’t go to the gym once, and bam,
You’re a bodybuilder,
Or bikini, babe.
It happens over time.
With energy,
Attention,
Strategy,
And consistency.
Regular Exercise,
Or having “the dream body”,
It is an easy one to imagine.
Many of us once had our dream bodies,
Or are working towards it,
Or maybe even have it today.
Whatever the current sitch,
We can visualise where we are going in our mind —
A picture of the end result.
Now think of your dream body.
Do you have that picture in your mind?
Let’s adjust it, so you know it’s realistic —
Realistic for the energy and time you’re willing and committed to putting in to get it.
Realistic in terms of your diet or what you’re willing to change in regards to eating, drinking, alcohol and your lifestyle.
Realistic in terms of your resources.
Realistic in terms of any injuries or health issues you may have.
Realistic when you think about your commitments and the time you commit to helping other people, being a parent, carer, partner or more.
Don’t worry about how long it will take to get there or how to do it at this point.
Just make it realistic and attainable for you with your life designed as it is today.
And forgot about limitations or beliefs about your age.
Do you have that picture clear now?
Maybe you even have a movie?
Look at yourself in the mirror.
What are you wearing?
How do you look?
Take a metal selfie,
And soak it all in. Got it?
That’s what it feels like to create a vision of something.
We can apply this method to achieve anything.
Whether you want to start a business,
Create a new website,
Get a new job,
Survive lockdowns,
Publish your novel,
Be the best parent you can be,
Or something else entirely,
It starts with a vision of what you want.
As vivid as the you, you took a selfie of in the mirror.
Start with your vivid, compelling vision,
Next, ask yourself, ‘where am I today?”.
Figure out a plan,
Or strategy,
Which is realistic—
Which you have the skills and abilities and resources to achieve—
That includes action,
Often daily action —
Specific, well-designed action to get that specific result.
Best practice is scheduling it —
What’s in the diary gets done.
And/or
Creating
Habits,
Rituals,
And routines around the specific result.
Yes, they are all different.
And world-class athletes all have coaches,
Or mentors,
Just staying.
