Everything in your life has been leading you to this moment.
225 days left in 2021. Do you need shift gears?
Everything in your life has been leading you to this moment.
No matter how many failures, successes, or wrong moves you’ve made.
No matter how much money you have spent or lost.
No matter all the bad choices, or ones that you would change in a heartbeat if you had the chance.
No matter how much time you’ve seemingly wasted— whether it be days, weeks, months or years.
For some people, it might feel like your entire life has been a waste—that you are so far from where you thought you would be.
But that couldn't be further from the truth.
You needed all the steps in your past to give you the heart, soul, character, resilience, grit, courage, and strength and lead you to exactly where you are today.
You have an opportunity for a fresh start from this exact point, which is where you need to be for the next chapter of life. To create your legacy.
All that matters is this moment now and choosing to move in a different direction.
But how can we ensure that tomorrow truly will be different from today?
By committing to a specific future, result and goal, rather than being interested in it.
By deciding and declaring to the world our intent, then backing it up with scheduled specific, tactical, repeated intelligent action.
By making the result or outcome part of our identity—how we see ourselves—and how we show up.
Tonight before going to sleep, think about the coming day and imagine how it will go. Think about what you will be doing. Run it though in your mind, rehearse it in advance. The steps and actual actions you will take. Make sure these strategically align with a specific result, outcome or goal you’re after. If you have other peoples stuff filling your days because you are a parent, carer or otherwise, then schedule a minimum of 10 minutes anywhere in your day to take time for you. If you can’t find 10 minutes, I dare to say you there is something major needs to shift in your mindset; as you matter, your life matters. Then schedule a chunk of focus, uninterrupted time, three times per week, to work on what's next—your committed, deliberate, strategic action.
I call it legacy time. Give yours a name. Make the result feel so real; it feels like it’s already done.
