Going pro. Here’s how to get started.

Do you ever feel like you’re hiding in the shadows?

Playing small? Not stepping into the light? Or being the person, man or woman you know you can be?
It’s why some people end up turning to alcohol, or drugs or binging on TV.
To try and switch off that inner call to greatness that you can be.
Do you ever feel like this?

I know I experience this feeling more often than I would like. My call wakes me up often at 3 am with messages from that deeper part of myself, calling me to action, telling me to get into the game, and to play big, play full out, make a fool of myself and fail if I need to, but to play! And play hard.

We can’t control the outside world, but we can control our focus, energy and what we make things mean. We can control what we do next. Is it time to pivot? Is it time to change our behaviours and what we do on the daily to get different results?
Is it time to level up? Is it time to go pro at work that is meaningful to you?

Our consistent actions give us our results. Period.
And getting started can often be the hardest part.
Like with writing.
If you can write a sentence, you can write a paragraph. After a paragraph, its easy to get to a page. And a page gets you a chapter…
Our daily actions develop our discipline, consistency, discovery of our strengths and weaknesses, and edges us towards mastery.

It takes us towards going pro. A professional doesn’t simply work for money, but a professional takes their promises seriously.
To show up even if you don’t feel like it.
To show up because you said you would and because you have work to do.
To show up because you’re a professional, and that’s what professionals do.

You have the chance to show up and go pro at something this year.
The real question is, will you take it?
