How many lousy spam emails are in your inbox?
Help me fight thoughtless spammers one crappy cold email at a time by forwarding me the worst cold emails you’ve ever received.
How many emails do you get in your inbox each day? Now how many crappy, unsolicited emails do you receive that make you sigh and groan? Would you believe me if I said life doesn’t have to be this way—that you could actually enjoy receiving sales emails from strangers?
In the world of sales, email outreach is nothing new — it’s the most commonly used content marketing method; 81% of B2B marketers say email newsletters are the primary method to reach their customers. Obvs, cold outreach is not limited to marketers, social selling is a must for anyone responsible for sales, growth and revenue generation in startups, scale-ups, freelancers, SMBs, and organisations of all sizes.
For anyone who doesn’t yet speak sales, a cold email is an unsolicited email sent to a receiver without prior contact—it could also be defined as the email equivalent of cold calling. Many of us call this spam. In my opinion, it only feels like spam if the creator makes crappy content and emails at the wrong frequency. No matter how good your product is, I’ll never need more than one email a day from you (and even that is far too often, statistically speaking).
I love a good cold email.
I love writing them, receiving them and looking at the techniques other quality content writers, salespeople, and companies use. But lately, I’ve noticed the quality getting worse and worse. It irks me.
So what exactly makes a bad cold email? Forward your examples to me via badsalesemails@gmail.com.

I can’t wait to get these, break them down and create some humourous content on the dos and don’ts of creating cold emails, which you can apply to win in your organisation.
