Most things are not about you.
How you hear someone say something —
And what you make it mean;
How you see things —
The meaning you make up there too,
Reveals a lot about you.
Not about whoever said it;
They show your world view.

Your perception,
Of what’s going on—
Ticking Away,
Inside that mind of yours.

The next time you hear someone make a comment,
React, or
You take offence, or
You pass judgement on them,
Remember to point that finger right back at yourself,
And take a good look.

What does what you think,
Your judgement,
Your point of view,
Really say about you too?
