What can we do when we are stuck in a rut? Overwhelmed? Anxious? Frustrated? But feel powerless to change it?

You know you’re being ineffective, inefficient and unproductive, but you’ve gotten to the point where you’re feeling ‘meh’ about it. Like it feels impossible to change. It all seems too much…
Life has started to lose its sparkle and feel like groundhog day. But you figure, do I really need to change?
At the same time, there is a sense that something isn’t quite right.
It might wake you up at 3 am.
It might be a little voice that whispers to you in the car or shower.
It might be the reason you have an extra wine in the evening or the weekend.
Please don’t ignore the calls; they are messages from the part of you calling you to a higher purpose.

If we are stuck in some pattern of behaviour that we are not enjoying,
That we keep repeating day in, day out,
Doesn’t it just make sense to shake things up and do something different?
If it is really that easy, why don’t all of us do it?

Walking away from something that we’re used to,
Even if it’s unjust,
Inefficient or ineffective,
Unproductive,
Lack-lustre,
Usually takes us far too long.

Fear.
Momentum.
Patterns.
The status quo—
Combine to keep us stuck.

So why do we do it?
Because there is a payoff of some kind.
It’s meeting some of our fundamental needs,
Our perception of life is that it is more painful to change than to stay the same.

So what can we do?
Uncovering our needs is a great place to start.
Here are two quizzes I love; use them to figure out what’s driving your behaviour on the daily. That’s where we start.
