Success: Achievement vs Obstacles?

What are our real successes in life?
Are they what we have accomplished — our results and our achievements?
Or is success overcoming adversity? Overcoming obstacles?
Could it be that the true measure of our potential is not the height of the peak we’ve reached, but how far we’ve climbed to get there?
Are there ways to show how individuals can come back stronger after having faced obstacles?
How do we demonstrate this? In a way which is meaningful to others?

Exercise: Ask yourself
What adversity have you overcome in your life?
How long ago was it?
What have you done with the experience to help other people?

Will you ever do anything with it?

What if the answer is ‘relatively little’ to either overcoming obstacles or doing something with it? That’s cool; it is what it is, the past is over and done with. Simply examine why you think this might be the case, and if you choose to do anything now.
