We will never have this moment to live again
“We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts, we make the world”.
— Buddha
This is life advice to live by for sure, but what if we are feeling so overloaded we haven’t been conscious or paying any attention to our thoughts lately?
We have been letting our minds run wild, sometimes self-medicating with food or alcohol, or mindlessly scrolling on social media or binge-watching TV shows, movies, Youtube etc. just so we can calm our racing, overloaded brains down? Look or sound familiar at all?
Other peoples worries, fear, anxiety, overwhelm, the madness, volatility and hate in the world — are getting the best of a lot of us.
So what do we do? We start by bringing awareness back to our thoughts.
Here is an affirmation I wrote today to begin to bring a sense of wonder, wellness, peace and presence back into our lives, at any time we choose.
We will never have the opportunity to live this day again, so let’s choose to savour every moment — the point of power is always in the present moment.
No matter how long we have had a problem, we can begin to change it — for as we change our thinking, our life also changes.
The past is over and done with and has no power over us.
Today’s thoughts create our future — every thought we think is creating our future.
What we believe becomes true for us.
We are all doing the best we can with the understanding, knowledge and awareness that we have.
When we know better, we do better.
With the volatility going on in the world, choosing to be united and believe when we know better, we do better is a powerful place to stand. This affirmation may not solve our problems, but it wasn’t designed to.
It is designed to reset our minds, so we are in a space for quality thinking.
To re-energise and recentre us when we need it most. To create little magic moments whenever we need them.
To create a sense of kindness, contribution and love.
It is written based on the spoken words of Louise Hay, and with absolute love from my heart to every being on the planet.
If you’re reading this, I wrote it for you, I’m thinking of you.
