Wellbeing moments on the daily

Wellbeing moments can be as simple as opening our fridges and giving them a decent cleanout, keeping food which nourishes our mind, bodies and soul, keeps us on top of our emotions and provides the energy we need to get stuff done, while also discarding toxin & inflammatory causing foods.

Organising your fridge is incredibly therapeutic.

This is something we can make a weekly ritual, and do with our families or housemates. It can be a tangible way we can physically declare we are resetting from our past choices & behaviours, and creating a space for the new, regardless of any undesirable decisions and choices we have made in the past and which we may be feeling guilty or uninspired by.

I slice & freeze fresh, organic fruit and make 100% pure homemade icecream using berries & bananas.

I like to get super creative with all the bits & bobs which need to be used when I do this, so they become the basis for a random meal each week, which I love, and it forces me out of my comfort zone.

During lockdown I’ve temporarily gained a few kgs and been craving more sugar and snacks than usual, so rather than making myself wrong, I’m looking for nourishing ways to give my body what it needs or keeps asking me for regularly. The thought behind this is I’m not telling my body to shut up and that it’s wrong for my cravings, but instead saying, I hear you, and trying to get curious on how to fulfil whatever underlying is going on.
