Would you tell me please, which way I ought to go from here?

Mindset is our greatest weapon amid chaos and tumultuous times.
What we appreciate, appreciates; it grows. And when we are willing to do what other people won’t, we get to live how other people don’t.
As we head into the second half of the year, goals, outcomes, aspirations, contribution, kindness, and behaviour are a must to focus on.
Do we know where we are? Do we know where we want to go? Do we need to reset? To pivot? To change anything or everything?

A mistake many of us make when setting a goal is starting without a road map. We know what we want the result to be, but how do we get there? Without understanding the steps we need to take — what specific behaviours and actions to take — we are set up for potential disappointment, leading to procrastination, distraction and self-sabotage.

“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?’
‘That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,’ said the Cat.
‘I don’t much care where -’ said Alice.
‘Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,’ said the Cat.
‘- so long as I get SOMEWHERE,’ Alice added as an explanation.
‘Oh, you’re sure to do that,’ said the Cat, ‘if you only walk long enough.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

Other than knowing where exactly we want to go, what else is critical to achieving our goals and outcomes?
Our mindset, our focus, energy and motivation, and our methods.

A wise man reminded me today not to downgrade our goals to meet the current situation and environment — regardless of what is happening in the world. Instead, to focus on up upgrading our mindset, physiology and our methods. To focus on proven techniques and to design proven-result-specific-behaviours to attain our goals.

In the coming weeks, I’ll write easy to digest baby how-to guides on this, including how to upgrade our mindset through the power of language, how to create a growth mindset, the four G’s to Genius and tow to press reset then design our lives, and our destiny. See you back here tomorrow, energised and ready to take action! I’ll also cover off methods including the Power of Habits and Routines, Tiny Habits and How to achieve anything through the power of behaviour design, models, maxims and methodologies.
